MetroLink - St. Louis' light rail line has service to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Travelers can catch MetroLink inside both the main airport terminal and the East Terminal. Conference Center - America's Center is the only convention center in the country which contains an IACC certified conference center - The St. Louis Executive Conference Center.
The Business Center at America's Center - St. Louis' convention facility offers business services from faxing and photocopying to teleconferencing and a specialized exhibitor concierge service.
Hotels - St. Louis offers 7,600 hotel rooms downtown, and more than 35,000 hotel rooms in metropolitan St. Louis.
Convention Center Expansion History - America's Center, in the heart of downtown St. Louis, opened in 1977. In 1993, the building opened its first expansion, doubling in size and adding a conference center, a 1,411-seat theatre, a 28,000 square foot ballroom, and 502,000 square feet of prime exhibit space. The Edward Jones Dome at America's Center opened in Fall 1995, adding 70,000 seats to the massive convention complex.
On January 27, 1999 more than 104,000 people filled the America's Center complex to participate in the Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II. The historic event was reported to be the largest indoor gathering ever held in the United States.
